Beyond the Soiled Curtain
I just finished a book co-authored by David and Beth Grant. It's called Beyond the Soiled Curtain and it is more than thought provoking. It deals with one of the greatest problems of our time...human trafficking. I recommend it to EVERYONE! Check out more info on the book and what project rescue is doing about it and how you can help. :)
Family
You know what is so great?! We went to Wichita, KS, this past weekend and spent some time with some really great friends, Randy and Linda. They have always been such good friends and we love them dearly, but the greatest part was watching Jet interact with them. He walked in like he owned the place and its as if he just "knew" he belonged with them and vice versa. It's so fun to watch him just "know" who we love and who loves him. He just "knows". Thanks Randy and Linda for loving us and our children so much. You really are our family.

Mr and Mrs James L Mitchell III
My brother got hitched on Saturday to a beautiful girl named April at a beautiful wedding at Camp Loughridge. Jet and April's nephew, Zeplin, were the ring bearers and although they didn't walk down the aisle alone, they did pretty good for 2 year olds. :) I'm just so happy for my brother b/c he found a really great girl and I'm so lucky to have her for my new sister.

I just didn't know it was gonna be this hard...
OK, I've been there before. I lived in India when it was just me and Tim as newlyweds and then as a new mother when I first took Jet over... But, now that we've been in the states for so long and now I have Ty...well...it just feels all the more hard to sell everything and uproot all over again. I'll be glad to get there and get settled into what feels like "the dream in my heart".

I'm so glad
I'm so glad that the US is not boycotting the olympics this year b/c these athletes look like they have trained and worked so hard to get here. I'm also so glad that the gymnastics part is over b/c I think I'm addicted and now that they are over I can finally go to bed at a decent hour and get some sleep! :)

The Roes came to visit!
Binky update
Well, for those of you wondering...the binky is alive and well in Jet's heart. That's right. He still loves it with his entire being. Today we started the process of "detachment" from his "beloved" but I'm not real encouraged. So many people have told me to just poke a hole in it and then all of a sudden Jet just won't want it anymore, but that totally didn't happen. I poked a hole in it and gave it to Jet and he didn't even act like he noticed so the next chance I had I poked another hole in it to see what would happen...nothing...I did this 5 more times...nothing...no response whatsoever. Oh man, this is going to be a long journey.

TWO doggies?!
Jet has had a doggie since he turned 1 year old and the reason we bought this doggie was b/c his daddy had a doggie when he was little. Tim used to love his doggie. He slept with him and dragged him around with love. Now Jet does the same thing to his doggie, but a couple of days ago he found his daddy's doggie and now Jet thinks he has 2.

Nawnny, Cheetaw, and Zoom-Zoom
What do these words mean? Just ask Jet. 3 of his very favorite words are nawnny, cheetaw, and zoom-zoom. "Nawnny" many of you may have guessed is "mommy". "Zoom-zoom" is what he calls his cars. And "cheetaw" I'm sure none of you could guess, but it means "football". This morning I had a little help from Tim's parents getting Jet to church and when they dropped him off in the 2 year old class Jet started talking his jibber-jabber, as usual, and when the sunday school worker looked to Wendy (Tim's mom) for an interpretation, she simply said "I dunno, he speaks Hindi". And the SS worker said, "Oh, that's so nice how they can learn 2 languages at once". Yeah, that is so nice...

A desperate need
Today I'm going to cut and paste an email from our dear friend, Brother Tryte. It's kinda hard to read because English is not his first language, but I think you will get the idea. He and his wife and their five kids run a children's home in Bhimtal. There are 23 kids in this home and all of them are deeply loved and cared for by Tryte and his family. Keep them in your prayers and let us know if you'd like to send some help for them.
hey bro
hope you are doing well by the grace of God and how is your family doing?
i know you help us so much in our financial and spiritual needs but still what about the refill of the budget which has been deducted every month which we discuss before, did you still remember bro? we really need help it's been 9 months since the budget has been reduce. you know every price of a single commodity food, gas, vegetables etc. has increase repeatedly and our consumption capacity rise day by day bro we are sorry to inform you all this details but bro we don't have anybody except you and your family where we can share all this things. so continue to pray for us and we are waiting for God hand so that we can manage sufficiently.
lastly and very important, Bro as you know we have a child from different religious background the evil spirit some time hunt them and disturb them so much that they unable the child to concentrate in any thing and sometime saw them. so we are praying hard and please please tell your friends everyone or anyone who want to pray for our family to pray for us. pray God to gives us strength, protection and boldness so that we can be stronger and tougher than before and strike back the devil and remind that we are the winner and Jesus has done it already.
bless you!!

I found it!!!
My cell phone has been missing for a couple weeks and last night...I FOUND IT!! And I owe it all to Petrusha and Grandma...and here's the story... So, Tim was driving our super fly minivan when he saw Nick Petrusha and slammed on his breaks and tried to flag him down to say hi...the slamming of the breaks caused a jar of coins (given to Tim by his Grandma) to spill all over the back of the minivan...all that and Petrusha didn't even notice Tim...he was busy playing it cool and never saw Tim's frantic waving...so, then, Tim wanted me to come out and help clean up the back of the minivan and pick up the coins when lo and behold!!! I found my phone in the very back underneath our last row of seats...what in the world was it doing there? I'm just glad I finally found it.

Ty "sweet and sour"
Buds!
Since coming back to Helena Jet and Grandpa Sebastian (who he was named after) have become great buds. Every morning he gets up on his own and heads up stairs to ask grandpa to play with him before he leaves for work. One day after Phil came home from work he dressed Jet up like one of his tire busters and Jet loved it! What a pair!
More fun things about our trip...
We went to San Francisco for 2 things...old chicago pizza and great grandma Bergstedt. The pizza was awesome (as usual) and we really enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with Grandma. Jet really was happier about it then he looks in the pic.
While we were in the San Francisco area we took a trip to the zoo. Tim and I were pretty disappointed b/c the Tiger House was closed and we didn't see any elephants...but that didn't phase Jet...his favorite part was the petting zoo! Crazy kid...doesn't he know that animal has horns?!
My little drummer boy!
Well, we've finished our long road trip up the west coast and at last we have made it to our final destination in Helena, Montana. Along the way we got to see some really good friends. While we were in Washington, visiting the Thunders, Jet found a set of Evan's (Evan is Thunder's son) old drums. And what a head banger he turned out to be! In fact, as soon as he finished his set he stood up and kicked the drum set over! My little rock star! ...and tomorrow he turns 2!
